The Egyptian Building on Flickr.
The Egyptian Building is a Richmond, Virginia landmark. Built in 1845 it is the first medical college in the state and now is now a part of Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center (MCV). This is a cool building, thinner at the top than at the bottom and an unusual Egyptian Revival architectural style. Check the larger version for the winged disk that represents Horus, as a sun disk with outstretched wings, flanked by the goddesses Bekbet and Uaset in the form of snakes.
